MITESH FOOD PRODUCTS PVT. LTD. would like to introduce them as ‘Shree Gandhi Bakery’ (SGB) - one of the leading brands of bakery products in Baroda. SGB came into existence in 1950 with the noble vision and commitment of catering hygienic and nutritious bakery foods to millions throughout Baroda, Gujarat, India.

As one of the oldest bakeries in the city, SGB sets the high standards for others to emulate and follow. SGB is driven by the innovative vision to consistently bring novelty in the culinary avenue by catering unique delicacies to all - old and young. Thus, they introduced Mr. Puff - the novel concept of fast food outlets to attract the younger crowd by serving their favourite delicacies fresh off the shelf.

Today, Gandhi Bakery have 12 outlets in Gujarat out of which 10 are situated in Vadodara in different localities & rest of two are in Anand & Bodeli. Shree Gandhi Bakery now exports to many countries with the Brand Name Mr. Puff Mast Munchies & Cookie King. They exports to countries like USA(Chicago), Singapore, New Zealand, Fiji, Dubhai,Nigeria(Ligos) & Australia. Here in this countries the Products like Premium Butter Khari, Premium Toast,Roasted Bhakharwadi, Roasted Samosa &Butter Biscuits( Makhania) are well in demand.

Solution Highlights

RayMedi solution at SGB allows them to manage inventory, sales, delivery and sales order to delivery automation process at the outlet with great ease. Now in RayMedi, sales orders are received from Customers from different outlets and delivery of these orders are scheduled to other outlet. In Outlets with RayMedi RPOS orders are forwarded to the warehouse electronically where in the actual order is executed. Once order is executed the same is sent to the concerned delivery outlet where they can make sales against the sales order at RPOS which helps in efficient delivery management. At time of placing order Customer can give his preference to shape, add or remove modifiers (Toppings, creams etc) and message can be captured in sales order to be written on cake.

SGB used to spend about 30-40 minutes at the end of each day to know what is required for the next day and the special orders for the next day. Using this, the production sheet for next day will be prepared. This process will start around 9:00 PM and will go on well past 11:30 PM. The production sheet was to be made ready before the kitchen staff report to work the next day. By automating this entire process, the production sheet is ready with a click of the button. Also, automation of this process has reduced the errors and has helped in speeding up the delivery.

The challenge:

Sales order was received for different variety of cakes with shape charges, advance amount, different toppings, etc. The major challenge was that, orders can be taken from any outlet and delivery of same can be taken from any outlet. These orders were to be forwarded to the warehouse where in the cakes were prepared. Once the cake is prepared the same has to be sent to the concerned outlet where they can make sales against the sales order at POS with advance adjustment etc.
