WEPOS
Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS) is the first POS operating system platform to provide plug-n-play peripheral support. Extending standard desktop PC plug-n-play support to retail device peripherals, this will enable retailers to quickly install and integrate current and legacy retail device peripherals into a point-of-service system. WEPOS also offers a standard platform optimized for retail and hospitality applications and familiar device management technologies.
Thin Client
Thin client is the computer that is directly controlled from server thinclients don't have their own hard disk so OS directly loads from server. Thin Clients costs less to purchase than PCs, and since they have no moving parts, they have a longer lifespan. Software upgrades and backups can be handled by IT staff at the central server. Thin clients consumes less power as compared to PCs.
Mobile POS
Mobile POS is a billing application that is mobile OS based. It is like a mobile counter. It is connected wirelessly with POS server. It is suitable for fewer item billing. |
